First post on this blog

Please write and let me know if these doodles interest you. I'd like to keep this up every day and I will have more motivation to do it if I hear some feedback. These are just figures that I will be pulling from my imagination - quickies to keep me limber. Enjoy.

Kyle, These are awesome. Keep going...people will love checking these out as a daily delight.

Did anyone know I'm a huge K Dubs fan?

Love the guy with the stylized head at the bottom.

Hi, Jen,

I just draw with a 'brush' in Painter for this blog. Typically, I do this kind of drawing with a Pentel Pocket Brush - if you have never tried one of those, you absolutely MUST! It is my favorite drawing tool - simply wonderful.

I am working digitally for this blog because time is of the essence, and scanning, etc. would add more minutes to my already busy day...

I'm glad you like them and thanks for checking in.

very impressive how simple, dynamic and accurate your drawings are. The girl reaching for her feet is particularly astonishing, feels very alive (not that the others are bad but I can't list each of their particularities...)
Keep going!

Absolutely great and strong drawings. Keep them coming. Do you draw them from life, do you use photographs, or do you draw from your mind?

Hey Kyle,

Love your work here and in The Stranger. Consider yourself RSS'd. Do you come up with these poses in your head before sketching them in Painter, or do you just go and see what happens?

I have done both so far - sometimes I just draw a line and see what it becomes. Other times, I have something vague in mind and make it happen... I don't have any system - I'm just getting this whole exercise started right now.

Thanks for checking them out!

You know I love you. OK, I won't go that far, but I do like you.

waw, simply fantastic !

I also found your blog via Drawn :)

A great idea with even better results. People forget sometimes what a few simple lines can do when put in an appropriate way.
You truly master the ink, be it digitally, keep up the smashing good work ! This is a high quality series and I'll certainly come back to see what these lines have been doing.

These are just phenomenal drawings, they get me really excited about gesture drawing and really remind me of the purpose of the exercise – movement, force, dynamism. Awesome! I’ve looked through all these entries and I can’t wait to see more.
